A dedicated team supporting the residential experience a warm and family-like atmosphere, supporting students in their daily lives. Clear guidelines foster discipline, personal responsibility, and mutual respect, which are essential for individual and collective growth.
The spaces encourage lasting friendships and a strong sense of belonging. The double or triple rooms, all with private bathrooms, are designed for maximum comfort and privacy. Common areas include a cozy library, a spacious living room for gatherings and meals, a winter terrace, a summer terrace, and a park of over one hectare with direct access to the sea.
Residential life as an integral part of formation
The decision to live together, in shared rooms, in shared dining spaces, within a shared daily rhythm, is not a logistical convenience at Accademia XXI. It is a pedagogical one. Residential life is considered an active component of the educational experience, designed to develop qualities that classroom instruction alone cannot cultivate: patience, consideration for others, the discipline of shared space, and the capacity for community. Students who arrive at Accademia XXI come from different countries, different educational backgrounds, and different domestic environments. Some are accustomed to independence. Others are accustomed to family structures very different from what they will find here. All of them are asked to navigate, together, the practical and relational demands of communal living, and to do so with the same seriousness and responsibility they bring to their academic work.
AT Accademia XXI
your accommodation becomes much more than just a space: it’s a place to grow, build relationships, and discover yourself.
The spaces of the Academy: design in service of formation
The physical environment of Accademia XXI is conceived as an extension of its educational philosophy. Spaces are aesthetically considered, proportioned and ordered, reflecting the Academy’s conviction that the quality of one’s surroundings shapes the quality of one’s thought and conduct. Student rooms are shared, double or triple occupancy, with private bathroom facilities. This arrangement is deliberate: proximity builds relationship, and relationship, within a guided educational environment, builds character. Common areas include a library designed for quiet study and individual reading, a spacious living room for shared meals and community gatherings, and both indoor and outdoor terraces suited to different seasons and different modes of engagement. The grounds extend to over one hectare, with direct access to the sea, offering students a natural environment for physical activity, reflection and the kind of unstructured outdoor time that restores focus and perspective. Every space in the Academy is designed to support the dual demands of individual concentration and meaningful collective life. Neither is sacrificed for the other. Both are considered essential.
An environment for personal Growth and Sharing
Our housing system encourages collaboration and communal living, while also offering quiet spaces for reflection, study, and introspection. Students can enjoy outdoor activities, walks, exercise, and even a dip in the sea, making the experience holistic and enriching.
Staff presence and the culture of care
The residential experience at Accademia XXI is supported by a dedicated team, including a housekeeper, butler and chef, whose role extends beyond the provision of domestic services. Their presence contributes to the warm, family-like atmosphere that distinguishes residential life at the Academy from the more anonymous experience of student accommodation elsewhere. Students are not simply housed. They are looked after, attentively, consistently and with genuine personal interest in their wellbeing. This culture of care is itself an educational model: students who experience it learn, through daily example, what it means to maintain a living environment with pride, to offer hospitality with generosity, and to sustain a community through the quiet, reliable performance of one’s responsibilities.
